Not the show for your own ‘little monsters’, even if most of the characters are based on Sesame Street!
This delightful parody, packed with mischief, bad behaviour and political incorrectness, that dares to ask the question “What do you do with a B.A. in English” brings the naughtiest puppets in town to the Wellington Repertory Theatre stage.
Avenue Q ingeniously combines a cast of humans and puppets who tackle the subjects of dating, internet porn, being gay and finding purpose in life and has long been the darling of Broadway, selling out to delighted audiences consistently since it’s inception. Winner of the Tony Triple Crown for Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book, Avenue Q has gone on to be on of the longest running shows on Broadway, concluding its celebrated 15+ years run in New York in May 2019.
Created by Jeff Marx and Robert Lopez,(Co-creator of The Book of Morman) with book by Jeff Whitty, Avenue Q is an irresistibly charming tale of the lovable characters on a downtown New York street trying to make sense of life’s burning issues.
