Gathering a wonder feast for your ears! Come and grab a bite - you can TASTE the pop!
Julie Lamb Outfit:
The Julie Lamb Outfit: Mischief groove with 8-piece oomph!
The Julie Lamb Outfit is an Aotearoa 8-piece funk-pop collective from Wellington (Te Whanganui a Tara) bringing you mischief, stories, sentiment and groove - not always in that order.
Impressive in their arrangements, which leave space for everyone to shine - you can expect energising and personality-filled music, awesome harmonies and groovy stories. A magic fusion of elements.
And we say – well, when you enjoy being with people, respect what they do and laugh with them a lot – it shows on a gig. That easy.
Tonight - we're appearing as the main course
SODA:
Soda is a four piece melodic power pop/retro/rock band.
Soda is described as having a clear and clean sound in the guitars, which combines well with the vocal underpined by a warm fluid bass with the drums providing a strong backbeat while never overpowering and the synth sounding very early 80s, simply put Soda is pop.
A great entrement!
RUE BARB:
Rue Barb is vegan and no animals will be hurt during their performance.
Rue Barb’s songs are perennial, fleshy with bite, and sweet like custard.
Their compositions are a perennial hybrid of species including rock, pop, ballads and bluesy jazz.
Drums and bass bring a solid rootsy backbeat.
The two guitars provide a tarty tough ruby connection between the rhythm section and vocals.
Rue Barb’s leafy vocals will leaf you wanting a second helping of flesh, cream and crumble to warm your soul and feed your mind.
Tonight - you get your dessert first! Lucky you fullas...
Indie-pop originals from this 5 piece can be found on their Bandcamp!
