National Jazz Festival

The National Jazz Festival – a New Zealand treasure – returns to Tauranga for the 54th year this Easter, 24 – 28 March 2016.
 
Nestled among the most beautiful spots in Tauranga, see performances from some of the best jazz musicians from around the world and right here in Aotearoa.
 
The festival delivers unique experiences - live music at the Downtown Carnival where festivities spill onto city streets, Baycourt Concert Series with local and international artists including Emma Pask and Darren Percival from The Voice Australia, Roy Phillips (Peddlers, UK) and bluesman Chris Cain (USA), the 39th National Youth Jazz Competition where young jazz performers from all over New Zealand compete for trophies, the intimate and family friendly New Orleans-style TECT Jazz Village, and to top it off the high energy Hurricane Party on the Waterfront featuring funk bands like Sex on Toast (AUS).
