Two exhibitions sharing Eastside Gallery 8th March till 23rd March:
Tahlia King: "Shift"
Marlies Geesink: Landscapes

Tahlia King, a self taught media artist, creates both 2D and 3D works using perspex and woven textiles to reflect the intricate and interconnected geometries of life around us. Her works blend time and space and explore the balance between ordered and chaotic mathematics. "Shift" looks at the moment of change and the impact that these moments have on our lives and emotions.

Marlies Geesink developed her skill by painting with others as well. She immensely enjoyed nature, painting outdoor scenes in the New Zealand bush, from Karamea to Westland and beyond. She held solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions in New Zealand and in Europe. The paintings in this show are predominantly oils.
