Bring him home...

When astronauts blast off from the planet Mars, they leave behind Mark Watney (Matt Damon), presumed dead after a fierce storm. With only a meagre amount of supplies, the stranded visitor must utilise his wits and science to find a way to survive on the hostile planet. Meanwhile, back on Earth, members of NASA and a team of international scientists work tirelessly to bring him home, while his crew mates hatch their own plan for a daring rescue mission.

The film will start at 7.15pm and will be preceded at 7pm by a brief biology talk and a look at some rarely seen objects from the Museum's Natural History collection.

Sci-Fi Fridays take place every second Friday of the month in Otago Museum's Perpetual Guardian Planetarium. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase.
