Cacao to hot chocolate & beyond
Meet cacao expert Clayton McErlane – founder of Baron Hasselhoff's chocolates – and hear about the fascinating history of cacao in Mexico. While sipping away on a cup of hot, spicy Mexican cacao you will discover the many ways cacao is used in Mexican cuisine and the historical, social and cultural context of this delicious bean.
Clayton will also share with us his experience working with the people in Mexico who grow and supply Baron Hasselhoff's with their cacao beans.
Numbers for the talk are limited, so please register to secure a place.
If you can’t make it to the talk, drop in any time between 12pm and 3pm and enjoy a free cup of Mexican-style hot chocolate while you explore the exhibition.
Hot chocolate proudly sponsored by Wellington’s own chocolaterie Baron Hasselhoff’s.
See you there!
Note: The talk will be in the education room located inside Te Auaha Gallery on the ground floor.
