Placemakers Fast 5ives Timaru 2021

The SCH Turf Trust are hosting the inaugural Placemakers Fast 5ives on Saturday 10 April in Timaru. This one-day tournament should see some fun and exciting fast-paced hockey, in the official Hockey 5s format with side and back boards. There is no better way to prepare for the regular season with speed, fitness and technical skill being required.

There are divisions for both Men (Div 1&2) and Women (Div 1&2), with division splits and four finals with prizes for the winning sides. It is only $100 to enter a team, which guarantees at least 3 x 30-minute games. Each game is split into three 10-minute thirds with power plays.

We invite teams to set up camp on the embankment with gazebos etc. We will have food vendors on site and music playing throughout the day. You are welcome to bring your own refreshments. There will be a social get together after the tournament at Bullock Bar in town.

Padded goalkeepers are compulsory, with goalkeeper and four field players on the turf at any one time. Maximum of three substitutions on the bench. Normal hockey rules, can score from anywhere, double points power play and no penalty corners.
