Wings of Faith - a Matariki Choral Concert

The choir of St. Peter’s Cathedral in Hamilton will visit the Waiapu Cathedral for a weekend of music-making together. On Sunday at 2:30 pm the two choirs will present a concert featuring some of the huge variety of music sung in great cathedrals around the world. The program will include anthems such as I Was Glad and Faire is the Heav'n as well as beautiful pieces such as Like as the Hart and Give us the Wings of Faith. Each of the choirs will perform some of their own favourite songs, too. Bring your friends and family for a feast of fabulous music to brighten up a winter day!

Other weekend events at which the two choirs will sing together are a short Compline (evening prayer) on Saturday at 6 pm and the Sunday morning service at 10 am with the Cathedral Strings accompanying the choirs, featuring Haydn’s Little Organ Mass. All are welcome at all of these events.
