**Salsa Therapy Presents: Heels Classes with Maeva Alçay**
Get out of your reels and into your heels for a sassy eve all about feeling groovy and confident in your very own beautiful body.
Tell all your fem friends they are in for a treat, you'll be learn how to slay in stilletos like the queens you are.
Whether you want new moves for the club, stage or bathroom mirror, we've got you covered. You are about to rock dancing in heels.
This class is open to all levels of dancers, it’s all about gaining confidence and having fun!
Teaching the class is our very special French guest Maeva, who is in New Zealand for five days only. She's also available for privates if 90min isn't enough for you!
90min from 7:30 – 9:00pm (join us for drinks afterwards! Location TBC.)
About Maeva Alçay
Maeva is a versatile professional dancer specialising in Bachata (Latin dance) and Heels.
Originally from France, in 2019, she completed her certificate in Dance at the Space Dance and Art Centre in Melbourne. She followed up her studies in Australia with a one-month intensive training in the Dominican Republic, then graduating with a certificate in Sports coaching, and a one-year course within the famous NY-style Salsa dance company "Alegria," with whom she won first place in the national championships. Individually, she has placed 2nd at the European Cup in Spain and 1st place women’s leading in the Professional Bachata category. She has also trained intensively in Brazilian Zouk, a style she now teaches with Alexis Cucheval. She also choreographs for many projects as music videos, performances.
Her experience gives her a strong understanding of the biomechanics of dance movement and allows her to give clear and extensive technical explanations for the 3 main styles of Bachata. Her aim is to empower people, especially women, through dance. Her classes are technical but also fun with positive vibes.

Do I need to wear heels?
Definitely recommended but the most important thing is your comfort.
What should I wear?
Something that makes you feel comfy and sassy. You should be able to move.
