As part of the nationwide Dutch week, join us for the Orange Bike Ride and get a taste of Dutch culture, food and festivities.

Choose to either follow a 7km off-road bike ride from Tahunanui to the Trafalgar Centre or join the kids' friendly festivities and bike ride along the Maitai.

We would like to invite you to celebrate Koningsdag (Dutch King's Day) with us in style. Bring your bike and some sunshine. Together we will cycle from Tahunanui along the new bike path along the estuary and over the railway reserve back to Nelson City to Trafalgar Centre where we will gather to enjoy some Dutch treats, prize giving for the best-dressed person, family or bike.

Route:

Meet up at Nightingale library in Tahunanui @1.30pm and we'll depart around 2pm to cycle to Nelson City (appr. 7km). We will gather at Trafalgar Centre with the younger families. After the event, you can either catch a bus or cycle back along the coast or the same route back.

Younger families:

For families with younger kids (age 2-5), we will have a separate event at the same time, starting at Trafalgar Centre, where kids can dress up their bikes and go for a ride along the Maitai. We will all finish and meet each other at Trafalgar Centre around 3pm for a get-together.

Dress to impress!

Dress up and decorate your bike in ORANGE, fantastic prizes to be won!

There are prizes for the best dressed, best-decorated bike and random spot prizes. Tell others and share this invite. Looking forward seeing you there!

All nationalities and families welcome.
