We will be open for public viewings every Friday and Saturday at 7.30pm and 9.00pm (subject to suitable sky conditions) for individuals and groups of up to 10 people.

On a clear night you can expect to see four or five deep-space objects, accompanied by engaging commentary from one of our team of astronomy experts. An unforgettable experience for adults and children aged 8 years and over.

Sessions are limited to a maximum of 10 people and run for approximately 1 hour.

If your visit is unable to go ahead due to weather conditions our team will contact you to arrange an alternative time.

Give us a call on 09 624 1246 for more information.

Bookings essential.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the commencement of your session.

Accessibility - Unfortunately, the Zeiss telescope is not wheelchair accessible at this time, due to steep steps inside the historic telescope dome. However, if you would like to arrange an accessible telescope viewing with us, please contact us at info@stardome.org.nz.
