The Centre for Pacific Languages is excited to invite you to the inaugural Koloa - Pacific Language Fono 2023.

This event is a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, remember and celebrate our Pacific heritage and languages, and inspire action across communities to protect and maintain our taonga/measina (treasures).

Come and listen to our passionate and experienced speakers as they:
- reflect on language journeys so far,
- honour advocates who came before, and
- share innovation that is shaping language pathways for young people.

This year's fono coincides with the UNESCO Decade of Indigenous Languages, making it even more special as we join the worldwide movement to revitalise indigenous languages. We will take this opportunity to honour tangata whenua for their leadership with Te Reo Māori revitalisation, to show our support, and to learn from tangata whenua.

Register today and be a part of this important conversation. Let's work together to ensure that our Pacific languages continue to thrive to build a prosperous Aotearoa (Pacific Language Strategy 2022-2023).

Regististration Is Free.

Parking for this event is complimentary, please enter via the Main Entrance next to The Ramada Hotel
