Women's Arts for Wellness Workshop - Art Dolls

The Art Dolls workshop is part of our 'Arts for Wellness' workshop series for women.

Art-making in itself is seen as therapeutic. There is healing in creating, and more so in trying and failing, experimenting and succeeding alongside one another.

In the Art Dolls workshop, you will create a figure with wire, foam, cloth, and/or tape. You will decide your figure’s posing and style.

A variety of materials will be available for you to dress or cover the figure with – paint, patterned paper, cloth, hessian, fur, and/or leather.

The aim is not to create a realistic doll, but a figure that expresses something of who you are, or a feeling/mood.

Soul Images Expressive Arts Studio provides a safe and well-stocked space for creative play. Elske will facilitate the workshop and support you as you create your art doll. The two key elements of all Arts-for-Wellness activities are curiosity and playfulness. It is always about the process, not so much the product.
