About Confidant and Portuguese Wines:
Our Wellington based Wine company is passionate about importing wines from one of the most far flung wine producing countries in Europe, Portugal, a country rich in wine history, and the masters of blending grapes to produce some outstanding styles.
Why Portugal? After Victor tasted a couple of Portuguese wines on his travels, he was very impressed with their style, quality and the price, as well as being blown away by the number of indigenous grapes grown there, and decided that this was the Country where most of his imported wines would be sourced from. A noticeably distinctive point of difference is that the wines are made from indigenous Portuguese grapes, ofen blended with better known French grape varietals, such as Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, but also frequently bottled as standalone varietal wines. The results are staggeringly interesting and such good value for money.
