The Franktastic Four presents Heavy Bop.

Just as Rock n Roll lead to Hard Rock which lead to Heavy Metal, Bebop got bluesier and more swing focussed to form Hard Bop.

Saxophonist Frank Talbot tries to answer the question, what if just as metal made hard rock heavier, how can we push Hard Bop to its bluesiest and heaviest? Expect plenty of hits, plenty of groove, plenty of blues, plenty of swing and plenty of energy.

Frank has had a varied career, having performed in 7 countries, recorded with the Rodger Fox Big Band and Jm Jazz World Orchestra and released his own album Mundane Life Updates through Rattle Records.

He brings with him a band of some of Auckland's finest and most in demand musicians for what should be an evening of exciting and fun music.
