David Eggleton is a poet and writer of Palagi, Rotuman descent based in Dunedin. He has published a number of poetry collections, and has also released a number of recordings with his poetry set to music by a variety of musicians and composers. He is the former Editor of Landfall and Landfall Review Online as well as the Phantom Billstickers Cafe Reader. His poems have appeared in many recent Aotearoa New Zealand anthologies, including Whetu Moana I and II: Contemporary Polynesian Poems in English, both edited by Albert Wendt, Reina Whaitiri and Robert Sullivan. His book The Conch Trumpet won the 2016 Ockham New Zealand Book Award for Poetry. In 2016, he received the Prime Minister's Award for Literary Achievement in Poetry. His most recent poetry collection is Respirator: A Laureate Collection, published by Otago University Press in 2023. He was the Aotearoa New Zealand Poet Laureate between 2019 - 2021.

Regan Graham Kupu Stokes (Ngāi Te Rangi, Ingarihi) is an Ōhinehou-based pāpā, writer, kaiako reo Māori, translator and musician. He started performing poetry in Ōtautahi in 2009 and has had work published in takahē and The Quick Brown Dog. He is a graduate of the Hagley Writers' Institute and writes and performs bilingual songs for the bands HOIHOI and SWIPERS.
