This month in Connecting to Collections Online, join us for a talk by the curators of our new exhibition ‘A child of the sun: Katherine Mansfield’s last year’. Dr Fiona Oliver, Exhibition Advisor and Cherie Jacobson, Director of Katherine Mansfield House & Garden will talk about the exhibition and the collections that have inspired it.

The Mansfield collection at the Alexander Turnbull Library began when a bound set of Mansfield’s complete works were donated by her father, Harold Beauchamp, following her death in 1923. Since then the library has sought to develop a comprehensive collection of Mansfield’s life and work, resulting in the foremost Mansfield collection in the world.

Learn more about what is in the Mansfield collection (including some unusual items), how it has been built up, and the ways in which it used by scholars and Mansfield fans alike!

You can find out all about the exhibition, and other events connecting to it, on the exhibition page on the National Library website https://natlib.govt.nz/visiting/wellington/a-child-of-the-sun-katherine-mansfields-last-year
