We will be supporting conservation week by hosting some exciting and fun events across Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Wellington.

Come along and join us for a day (or more) as we visit Churton Park and Ōwhiro Bay to support the community and our project partners with their restoration efforts.

Wednesday 4th September:
Join us for a day of tree planting on the hills of Churton Park and plant a rākau that could live 1000 years! We have the honour of planting some baby emergent trees that will one day tower above the canopy of the future forests of Wellington's skyline walkway.

Thursday 5th September:
Lastly our event in Ōwhiro Bay will be working alongside our friend Jess, who is part of the school and a local community group of volunteers who have been working hard along Ōwhiro Stream to restore and protect this important habitat.

Transport is provided on request (please get in touch for availability as seats are limited) - we have two designated pick-up points in Wellington City.

Registrations Are Essential via Our Website.
For All Enquiries Please Email: Wellington@cvnz.Org.Nz

We Ask All Volunteers to Please Wear: Long Sleeves, Long Pants, Sturdy Boots/shoes and Warm/waterproof Layers. A Beanie and Jacket Is Recommended As the Wind Can Get Nippy On-site.

This Event Is Part of Conservation Week 2024 - Www.Doc.Govt.Nz/conservationweek
