3… 2.. 1… Blast off! Tamariki learn all about the forces of flight at Space Place’s 4-hour school holiday workshop featuring rocket experiments, vortex cannons and beyond.

From making everyday objects fly with a leaf-blower, to observing what happens when you put a marshtronaut (marshmallow-astronaut) into a vacuum chamber, tamariki will come home brimming with new knowledge about how Gravity, Lift, Resistance and Thrust can be used to make cool things happen!

Suitable for ages 8 – 12, the workshop rounds off with a screening of Capcom Go! – a planetarium show about the Apollo 11 mission to the Moon.

Workshop options:
- Tuesday 16 April, 9am-1pm
- Wednesday 17 April, 9am-1pm
- Tuesday 23 April, 9am-1pm
- Wednesday 24 April, 9am-1pm

Tamariki can be dropped-off in the morning and picked-up afterwards; caregivers are not required to stay for the duration of the workshop. Tamariki should bring a packed lunch.
