Have you always wanted to try stand-up comedy but don’t know how to start?

Comedian, writer, and lifelong teacher Neil Thornton (as seen on TV3’s After Hours) brings you a fun low-pressure comedy workshop.

Everything you need to know to get a mic in your face:
-generating ideas
-joke writing
-effective delivery
-where and how to get practice
-how to avoid many common mistakes new performers make.

Neil Thornton is an award-winning comedian with appearances on NZ TV and all over the world. In addition to his career as a stand-up comedian, comedy teacher, and writer, Neil has been teaching writing, creativity, and presentations for more than 20 years.

This event made possible with support from the Kāpiti District Council Creative Communities scheme, and the Humorous Arts Trust
