HEAR HARD is difficult.

HEAR HARD is a 90-minute performance.

HEAR HARD is a tour or The Atlantic Archipelago.

The HEAR HARD tour of the Atlantic Archipelago began at the Doublet Bar in Glasgow early on the evening of the 14th of June 2024.

The HEAR HARD tour of the Atlantic Archipelago will end in the Wigtown Bay, Galloway late on the evening of the 11th of May 2025*.

The HEAR HARD tour of the Atlantic Archipelago is comprised of a number of Chapters.

Each Chapter is comprised of a number of performances staged and stitched into a few days in certain guilt-stricken areas of the Atlantic Archipelago.

HEAR HARD Chapter One took place in Glasgow.
HEAR HARD Chapter Two took place in Edinburgh.

Future HEAR HARD Chapters will take place...

Over Merseyside...
Under and Out of Spaghetti Junction...
Into The Dark South...
Down the Valleys of Wales...
Across the Shires...
Out to the Hebrides...
And...
Through the length and breadth of Galloway.

Dates and Locations of these future Chapters of the HEAR HARD tour will be announced via Penkiln Burn Newsletters.

Each HEAR HARD performance will be attended by no more than 40 living people.

Each HEAR HARD performance will cost no more than ten quid per ticket.

Each HEAR HARD performance will have no guest list.

Each HEAR HARD performance will be made up of Three Acts.

Those attending a HEAR HARD performance are not an audience

Those attending a HEAR HARD performance are The Congregation.

Act One will be performed by Tam Dean Burn and Bill Drummond.

Tam Dean Burn and Bill Drummond will stamp The Congregation’s wrists while entering the venue.

Tam Dean Burn and Bill Drummond will position The Painting on The Easel on the stage.

Tam Dean Burn and Bill Drummond will position The Five Tea Chests containing the remaining copies of the vinyl long playing record with the title of VOICES FROM THE GALLOVERSE.

Tam Dean Burn and Bill Drummond will induct The Congregation into the ways of The Galloverse.

Tam Dean Burn will lift the arm and drop the needle into the groove of a vinyl long playing record.

The vinyl long playing record will have the title of VOICES FROM THE GALLOVERSE.

VOICES FROM THE GALLOVERSE might be in part the soundtrack of a film of the same name.

The film of the same name is to be premiered at the Newton Stewart Picture House on the 11th of May 2027.

Many things can happen between now and the 11th of May 2027.

Those many things can prevent many other things from happening.

Act Two will be performed by The Congregation.

The Congregation will sit physically still and in utter silence for 43 minutes. Across these 43 minutes they will persevere to hear as hard as they emotionally can to both sides of the vinyl record VOICES FROM THE GALLOVERSE.

Intensity is for the intended.

Act Three will be a joint performance.

Tam Dean Burn and Bill Drummond’s motivations will be interrogated by The Congregation.

The Congregation’s motivations will be interrogated by Tam Dean Burn and Bill Drummond.

Tam Dean Burn and Bill Drummond will trade copies of VOICES FROM THE GALLOVERSE for fifteen quid each (card or cash).

There are and will only ever be 1,000 vinyl copies of VOICES FROM THE GALLOVERSE.

Act Three will be completed by Tam Dean Burn and Bill Drummond packing The Painting and The Easel and the yet to be traded copies of VOICES FROM THE GALLOVERSE in their Five Tea Chests, back into the back of the awaiting White Ford Transit Van.

Tam Dean Burn and Bill Drummond will then drive away in the White Ford Transit Van. They will not know where they are going.
