Join Jia Ling (Guzheng) and Pei-Ying (Piano) on a Romantic journey to the east, sharing an exquisite blend of Eastern and Western music, ranging from Traditional Chinese music to modern interpretations of Guzheng.

Jia Ling is a GuZheng lecturer of China Cultural Centre and the Confucius Institute of Victoria University in Wellington. She graduated from Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Majored in GuZheng Performance. Jia Ling has been learning Gu Zheng with Chinese National Gu Zheng Master, Educator, Professor Sun Wenyan. Jia Ling moved to New Zealand in 2018. She has lectured in more than 50 schools in and around the Wellington area from primary to tertiary institutes. Jia Ling has been invited to perform by Weta Studio, Wellington Jazz Festival and the NZ government at the Parliament, with around 100 multicultural performances all over NZ.

Pei-Ying completed her M.Mus (Piano Performance) in 2005 with Diedre Irons and Maurice Till at the University of Canterbury. She has worked as a rehearsal accompanist alongside Dame Malvina Major and performed with several soloists including Hayley Westernra, Yoomia Sim and Wolfgang Kraemer. Pei-Ying currently works as a piano teacher from her studio and as a collaborative pianist, working alongside members from NZSO and Orchestra Wellington.
