Matariki is a time to honour those who have passed since the last rising of Matariki, gathering to give thanks for what we have and looking to the promise of a new year.

We spend quality time with friends and whanau to ensure our communities continue to thrive and that we have a place to call home.

This year’s exhibition features artwork from students of Toimairangi, Te Wananga o Aotearoa, artists of the Iwi Toi Kahuhungu Artist Collective and graduates of Toihoukura, Gisborne.

Many of these students and artists will be in-house working on their mahi toi throughout this exhibition, and taa moko artist Levi Waihape will also be demonstrating his skills on Friday July 5, and Friday July 12.

On until July 20, this exhibition will be constantly evolving so you're most welcome to join us anytime, as we celebrate Matariki 2024!
