The Moon Festival is a traditional mid-autumn celebration of hope and renewal. It’s a time for gatherings, where loved ones share food, enjoy each other’s company, and take part in fun activities and entertainment.

Dunedin’s Chinese community welcome you to join them in celebration at Lan Yuan!

The festivities commence at 12.30pm with speeches by Chinese Consul-General Madame He Ying and community leaders, then continues with vibrant music, dance, and performances throughout the afternoon from Dunedin’s talented Chinese community from 1pm.

The event will showcase the talents and creativity of our Chinese community members, including vibrant musical performances from the Dunedin Senior Chinese Association, Dunedin Tai Chi Club, and the Dunedin Chinese Cultural & Art Association.

The Tea Shop will be open with tea specials, and of course, there will be moon cakes!
