Telling Food Stories - More than a Cookbook with Christall Lowe: A Magical Evening at Wai Ariki Spa

Embark on a Culinary Journey!
Step into an enchanting evening at the KUPU Māori Writers Festival 2024, where food, culture, and storytelling unite in a celebration of creativity and connection.

Christall Lowe (Ngāti Kauwhata, Tainui, Ngāti Maniapoto) is not just an award-winning author and food photographer—she is a master of weaving stories that resonate deeply. Her acclaimed cookbook Kai – Food Stories and Recipes from My Family Table was awarded Best First Book at the 2023 Ockham NZ Book Awards. Christall’s upcoming work, Kai Feast – Food Stories and Recipes from the Maunga to the Moana (October 2024), promises to further enrich our understanding of kai and manaakitanga.
