Join us to celebrate the first Queer History Month in Aotearoa this Hōngongoi. Learn all you ever wanted to know about who we are, what we’re doing, what we are collecting, how we take care of everything and see a few of our favorite things!
The night includes guided tours of our behind-the-scenes spaces, a ‘show and tell’ of collection items and Sarah Buxton giving a (short!) talk about the work of the museum and answering questions.
Tickets: $35 for in-person attendance which includes nibbles. A cash bar will be available.
If you can’t be here in person you can still attend this event! If you live outside of Auckland have a cozy night in or watch with a group of friends.
Tickets: $15 for an online live stream of the collection ‘show and tell’, the talk and question time (approximately 45mins) and access to a short video of the behind-the-scenes tour.
An overview of the evening (times approximate):
6.30pm arrival
7.15pm short talk and collection 'show and tell'
8pm guided tours of behind-the-scene spaces available.
From 8pm till late relax in a friendly atmosphere, mix'n'mingle with other attendees.
This is a fundraising event for the museum to help cover our on-going operational costs and we need your support.
If you can't attend or log in on the night please consider making a donation.
The Charlotte Museum Te Whare Takatātpui-Wāhine o Aotearoa is a safe inclusive space and this event will be a fun celebratory night for lesbian sapphic women, our takatātpui, rainbow+queer whanau and friends and allies.
