Extraordinary young local author Angel (Hongling) Yuan is a Year 5 student at Porirua Primary School and lives in Cannons Creek. She is a frequent visitor to the Porirua Public Library, where she spends most of her after-school time.

Angel wrote and published her first Chinese novel, Homecoming, at age seven. She finished her first English novel, Adventures of the Elements, at age nine. She joins us to present a workshop about her writing and self-publishing experiences. For confident young writers aged seven and up. Limited numbers. RSVP to bee.trudgeon@poriruacity.govt.nz
