Get hands-on in the bush this EcoFest, with Restore Hibiscus and Bays.

At the end of the Whangaparāoa Peninsula, just before Shakespear Regional Park is this beautiful reserve. RHB has teamed up with local residents to take out the invasive weeds and restore the natural habitat. More natural habitat means there is more chance that the rare native species of birds, lizards and insects that reside within the sanctuary of Shakespear may be able to spread their wings and move along the peninsula into this reserve. Do join us!

WHERE: Enter the reserve from the end of Okoromai Views and walk down the hill.
WHEN: This regular working bee is on the fourth Saturday of the month, every month 10am - 12pm

This is a great opportunity to meet other locals interested in restoring and protecting our local environment, and to learn more about native plant and animal species and how we care for and protect them.
