with tutor Elise De Silva

Join our Simplifying Watercolours Workshop where Elise demystifies the art form by embracing its challenges!

Elise will guide you through innovative watercolour techniques and applications to reveal the full potential of this charming medium. You’ll learn how to conquer common pitfalls through her expert guidance. From pesky blooms to streaky skies, Elise will cover many of the things that can go wrong when using this tricky medium and techniques to overcome them. She will show you how easy it is Simplifying Watercolours.

She will give you the tools to paint with more confidence and make your watercolours sing. Discover techniques to salvage crooked horizons, control bleeding, and harness the magic of happy accidents. Whether you’re a novice or seasoned artist, spend a day with like-minded people who share a passion for expanding their watercolour skills.

YOU NEED TO BRING:
Watercolour paper – Plenty to practise with and to complete one finished painting. We recommend buying 100% cotton cold pressed 300gsm or 425gsm
Watercolour paints in a range of colours
Watercolour brushes – at least one large mop brush, a medium round brush and a fine round brush for details. (A fan brush is also useful, but not essential)
Masking tape (to tape your paper down)
Art board (to tape your paper to. This can be gator board, mdf, even a cutting matt).
Masking fluid
Drawing pencil and eraser
Tissues
A watercolour palette for mixing colours
