Steampunk is a quirky and fun genre of science fiction that features steam-powered technology. It is often set in an alternate, futuristic version of 19th century Victorian England steam powered devices – the 'world gone mad' as Victorian people may have imagined it. It tends to synthesise modern and futuristic styles with influences from Victorian Britain.

In this workshop you can be inspired by Steampunk and create your own hat to take home.

All resources will be provided but you are welcome to bring any special items you want to use and if you have one, please bring along a glue gun from home.

Your mentor Amy will bring along finished examples, covering what steampunk is all about & giving you inspiration on how to use the resources, colour schemes etc

Saturday 17th August
Creative Space 41 Princes Street, Hāwera
10:00am - 2:00pm
Cost $30 per person

Bring a plate for a shared lunch.
Some guests will be arriving in their Steampunk apparel also.
There will be a prize for best hat made on the day!
