Stringendo - Wellington Children’s Orchestra

Stringendo is a training orchestra for school-age string players, founded in 2015 by Donald Maurice and Rupa Maitra. It offers early-level musicians, starting around grade 2, the opportunity to develop their skills in a fun and inclusive environment. Since 2022, the group has been directed by Alex Vaatstra and Hilary Ferral.

Stringendo extends its heartfelt thanks to the wonderful team at Ngaio Union Church for providing an excellent rehearsal space each Saturday afternoon for our weekly rehearsals.

On November 6th, Stringendo will perform a programme of pieces including pieces by Vivaldi, Telemann, Handel and more!
