This week featuring local saxophonist Nicholas Baucke-Maunsell and his band.
The Nicholas Baucke-Maunsell Quintet is returning to Wellington's most beloved venue, the Rogue and Vagabond. Nicholas and Henry (trumpet) grew up playing together every week at the Young Musicians Program under guidance and mentorship of Rodger Fox. After a five-year hiatus, due to Henry studying in New York, they will reunite on stage for the beloved Sunday Jazz at the Rogue.
Leo (piano), Seth (bass), and Hikurangi (drums) have been playing together for many years, forming strong musical connections. They look forward to sharing their passion through modern jazz compositions and classic jazz standards for you all to enjoy.
