Tauranga Youth Chamber Ensemble

The Tauranga Youth Chamber Ensemble is a talented bunch of young violinists from Ahlers Violin Studio and cellists from Therèse Ahlers Music Studio in Tauranga. They are all school students aged between 11 to 18 years old.

Get transported back in time to the Baroque era in Europe when there was a whirlwind of creativity with fresh musical forms such as the solo concerto. Vivaldi’s concertos were both captivating and revolutionary and audiences were dazzled by the solo concertos which Vivaldi composed specially for his students to perform.

Our performance will focus on works by the baroque composers Vivaldi and Telemann and will be a treat for lovers of baroque music! This concert will also be a great inspiration for all kids interested in learning music.

Come and experience some musical magic with our young soloists with five thrilling works - from solo violin to viola and flute concertos, a concerto for two violins, and even a string concerto!
