Te Ohonga - The Awakening is a unique collaboration between Te Waka Huia O Ngā Taonga Tuku Iho Wellington Museum, Toi Māori Aotearoa and 19 contemporary artists and artist collectives working in Māori creative hubs throughout Te Upoko o te Ika (the Wellington region).

Join exhibiting artists Pip Devonshire (Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Te Au hapū, Ngāti Manomano hapū), Kura Puke (Āti Awa, Taranaki Whānui), Hinepūororangi Tahupārae (Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Tūkorehe), Elaine Bevan, (Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Toa, Ngāti Tūkorehe, Ngāti Wehiwehi), Kohai Grace, (Ngāti Porou, Ngāti Toa, Te Atiawa, Ngāti Raukawa) and Tracey Patete (Ngāti Koata, Ngāti Kuia) for a day of weaving demonstrations and insightful group kōrero at Wellington Museum.
