That Signature Sound

Come and hear the fabulous USA Signature Quartet, the headline act for the Signature Sound Show, which is the feature event of the Sing Wellington National Barbershop Convention 2024. Signature delivers smoky R&B songs and passionate, crowd-pleasing performances that have propelled them to the pinnacle of a cappella singing, having placed as world champions in international quartet competitions. They are known known for singing a funky and soulful range of songs including the Creedence Clearwater Revival classic “Proud Mary,” Aretha Franklin’s “Think” and a heart wrenching rendition of “Dance with My Father” by Luther Vandross and the Glady Knight and the Pips standout "Midnight Train to Georgia. It's a rich , smooth and powerful sound you won't want to miss.

Also on he bill will be all the medial winners from the convention, including many of the country's finest Barbershop singers. You'll hear men's, women' and mixed choruses and quartets performing a wide range of songs - from Barbershop standards to pop, the sounds of Maori and the Pacific, ballads, up-tunes, you name it. All in glorious four-part harmony amid the splendour of the St James Theatre.
