R18

Please note - This Event is R18 and for lesbian sapphic women and their friends only.
This seminar has been designed to be informative (with a bit of fun!) but does include sexual explicit material so if this causes discomfort or is not to your taste we look forward to seeing you at our next event.
After a sold out seminar last year we are excited to be welcoming Louise Bourchier back to the museum for another seminar for grown-ups!

In this seminar, queer sex educator Louise will explore the sometimes rocky road of sex and intimacy during the menopause transition. She will explain what goes on in our bodies and offer suggestions to help support positive sexual experiences during this time.

Rather than the reproductive focus of school sex ed, Louise’s style of grown-up sex ed focuses more on pleasure and is inclusive of all genders, sexual orientations and relationship statuses. With a dash of humour, fun props and nerdy sex trivia, Louise will offer useful strategies to make the most out of your sexual life during the menopause transition.

Who is it for?
Whether menopause is years away or you’re in the thick of it; whether you’re of the typical age or have experienced early menopause; whether a gradual transition or medically induced; whether you’re looking to understand your own body or to support a partner – this workshop is for you!

What is covered?
Here’s what to expect:
• Changes of peri-menopause and menopause
• Sexual response cycle
• Understanding how the menopause transition affects sexual function
• Top tips and troubleshooting common challenges
• Time for anonymous questions
• Plus: list of resources to take away to continue your learning
