The Situations - Album Release

Hot on the heels of their stonking K Road Matariki Mainstage set, Papakura and Pakuranga power pomp popsters The Situations are celebrating the release of their fourth Album “Winning Home and Away” at Karangahape Road’s Neck of the Woods. The album draws on songwriter Samuel Kett's (Ngāti Tuwharetoa) recent life experiences in Muscat, Kampala, Jeddah and Shanghai. WHaA will be available for download and streaming with the Vinyl release in the near future: all formats for all situations, desert to forest.

The latest single is “Local Customs” and Samuel Kett provides the kōrero behind its meaning:
This waiata is about settling into an existence, a new space, between deserts and forests, while leaning on old wisdom. Kinda inspired by the constant travel in and out of Aotearoa since 2013 and noticing how it is changing, the good aaaaaand the embarrassing.”

Completing the party vibes are special guest appearances from Tāmaki's answer to The Darkness, Thee Golden Geese and wholesome fellow power popsters, Pocket Money.
