Two For One Plays

Following on from the success of Calendar Girls in April, with sold out audiences and truly amazing fundraising by the whole local community, Warkworth Theatre brings their next production to Warkworth Town Hall: Two For One Plays from August 9th to 17th.

Two For One Plays consists of two very-funny, one-act British comedies. Last Tango in Little Warkworth written by David Tristram (directed by Dianne Morgan) has local references, well-known identities, and current topics added to the original “Little Grimley” script. “Little Warkworth” is a village with a dysfunctional local theatre-group struggling to get bums on seats and pay the bills. Will they survive? What is the chairman’s saucy plan to save the day? And will you recognise yourself in this play?

The second one-act play is The Worst Day of My Life by Alan Richardson and directed by Cathy Phelps. Charlie Brown is in hospital, his wife at his bedside, when the "other woman" shows up! And then, yet another "other woman!" Who are these women, and why is Charlie Brown suddenly having the worst day of his life? Can he talk his way out of this predicament?
