It’s our fifth planting session along the Te Ahu boardwalk
on South Road to grow new rākau nurseries of kai,
shelter, and rongoā for our community. This time we’ll be
planting the boardwalk area with plants that thrive in wet
areas. Bring your tamariki, whānau, kaumātua, and let us
share stories as we plant as a community.

Bring your gardening gear, gumboots, and a spade if you
have one. Afterwards, we’ll finish with a shared kai (bring
a plate). All are welcome, whether or not you are able to
plant. We will have a rest area with seats, mats, tea and
coffee.

Meet at the front of Te Ahu
Friday 30th August
