Explore the Okura Estuary and Karepiro Bay which is bordered by protected native bush, council reserves, historic buildings, pa sites and is filled with natural wonders.

See some of NZ’s rarest seabirds, look for fish flying through the air and watch stingrays as they cruise under your kayak.

No previous experience is necessary, but a reasonable level of mobility and fitness is required. Kayak tours are run in fair-weather conditions (we will call you in case of cancellation). The kayak tour is suitable for children 11 years and over, although younger children over 5 are welcome if the conditions are suitable (each child must be accompanied by an adult).

Bookings are essential – please book via email:
adventures@canoeandkayak.co.nz or ring us on 09 476 7066.

Canoe & Kayak are vocal supporters of this amazing region and your attendance for only NZD$20 a seat on these trips helps support community projects to save Okura!
