Join us for a night walk, stargazing, and a photography workshop or kids' activities. Come along to learn about the forest at night, the significance of Matariki, and to try your hand at night photography. Or, simply sit and stargaze with friends and a hot cuppa!

Discover a different side to the Kepler Track with DOC rangers as they wander through the forest listening for nightlife and uncovering creatures of the dark.

Meet at the Kepler Track carpark (Control Gates) at 6pm, then head off towards Rainbow Reach or Brod Bay with a ranger to explore the forest. Enjoy a hot chocolate at the end and a bit of stargazing or bring your camera and tripod for a short session on night photography. Kids' activities will be provided too.

Please bring lots of warm clothes, sturdy boots, a head torch and a raincoat plus snacks, drink bottle, and your own mug.

Bookings are essential as numbers are limited, so don't miss out on this amazing evening under the stars and book your spot today! Bookings can be made online or by phone or in person at the Fiordland National Park Visitor Centre (03 249 7924).

This event is part of our Fiordland events programme.
