Te Whare Ako o Akoranga – Rangi Tūwhera | Akoranga Learning Pavilion - Open Day
Embrace the buzz of nature at our Spring Festival! Join us for an un-bee-lievable day at the Discovery Garden, Botanic Garden ki Paekākā, and bee amazed by the fascinating world of bees.

Discover the incredible world of bees up close in the Apiscope viewing hive and meet beekeepers who will share their knowledge and love for these little pollinators. Get busy with fun activities that will help you understand the importance of bees in pollination and their crucial role in the wider ecosystem.

After enjoying the festivities at the Discovery Garden’s Akoranga Learning Pavilion, take a stroll down to the Treehouse Visitor Centre to create your own bee-inspired art activity. While you're there, don't forget to sample the different honey flavours at our Bee Fresh honey tasting. Bee-licious!

To add to the experience, we'll also have the Friends of the Wellington Botanic Garden’s 'Down the Garden Path' olive oil and La Petite Chocolate for you to try.

Come along anytime between 10 am and 2 pm for a free day of fun. Bee sure not to miss out on this exciting opportunity to bee-come one with nature and celebrate the incredible bees that keep our world blooming. See you there!

This event is part of the annual Te Wā o te Kōanga - Spring Festival at Wellington Gardens. The festival runs for the whole month of September.
