Michael Stewart explores the complete keyboard works of Italian virtuoso Girolamo Frescobaldi in a series of ten recitals throughout 2024.
Frescobaldi's works were known to have had a major influence on the North German 'stylus phantasticus' style of the likes of Dietrich Buxtehude, and his rigorous cuntrapuntal skill was revered by none other than JS Bach himself.
All proceeds to the Cathedral Music Department. Entry by donation.
